Black Bean Hummus

1.5 Cups soaked Black Beans (or 1 400g can) drained & rinsed
1.5 TBS Tahini
3-4 TBS Lemon Juice
2 TBS Olive Oil
1 tsp Garlic (or more if you LOOOVE Garlic)
1 fresh Chilli, seeds removed (or not if you're brave)
Salt and Pepper to taste
cooking procedure
- If you are using the dried soaked bean you will need to cook the beans until soft, don't add salt to the cooking water as I find it tends to make the outer layer a bit tough . When cooked just cool the beans.
- Blitz all together in a blender until smooth. Taste as you go adding more liquid by way of lemon juice, olive oil or just water if the mix is too thick.
