Stardust Circus Protest Castle Hill
Please join Animal Liberation, Sydney Animal Save, & The Animal Justice Party in a peaceful demonstration to protest Stardust Circus and their use of animals for entertainment.
WHEN: Sunday, 23 June 2019, 12pm-2pm
WHERE: Castle Hill Showground, Showground Road, Castle Hill, 2154
Stardust circus hold, in captivity, wild African lions, horses, pigs and monkeys among others.
The inherent requirements of circus life are in STARK CONTRAST with the animals physical, emotional and psychological well-being.
This is REGARDLESS of whether the circus passes RSPCA inspection, in which the circus can ONLY be audited based on outdated standards that even the RSPCA speak out against.
Animal circuses ensure a lifetime of imprisonment and misery for the animals, for a few hours of “entertainment”.
National, regional and local governments in dozens of enlightened countries around the world, most recently Scotland, have already banned the use of exotic or all animals in circuses, and circuses using exotic animals have been banned in the ACT for over 20 years
The Hills Shire Council & the NSW state government policies CONTINUE to FAIL these animals and the community’s expectations.
Animal circuses have no part in a modern, compassionate state such as NSW and it’s time to take a stand!
Join us in a non-violent multimodal demo against this anachronism, to promote awareness of this serious animal rights issue and demand ACTION from Blacktown Council and the NSW Government!
Learn more about the horrible lives of circus animals here.
Pending police approval. Further details to come.
