Email key NSW decision-makers to protect wildlife

Even if you don’t live in NSW, your voice is powerful. The NSW Premier and Leader of the Opposition need to hear that this dangerous and regressive Bill lacks support across Australia.

What's at stake

The newly introduced Game and Feral Animal Legislation Amendment (Conservation Hunting) Bill 2025 threatens NSW wildlife through a dangerous shift from science-based conservation to prioritising recreational hunting. This Bill threatens to create a "Conservation Hunting Authority", dominated by hunting interests, and threatens to establish a legal “right to hunt” that could prevent future animal protection reforms. The abuse of public land and severe risks to public safety are also at stake.

The consequences are terrifying: bounty programs remove less than 10% of target populations, while wasting hundreds of dollars per animal killed - with zero measurable benefits. Meanwhile, the Bill threatens to expand hunting access across NSW Crown land, also putting native species at risk and turning public conservation areas into shooting ranges. Public safety will also be seriously compromised.

The NSW Premier and Leader of the Opposition need to understand that this isn't conservation. This direct action takes less 2 minutes to complete and will send your urgent message directly to the NSW Premier and the Leader of the Opposition.
