Lisa Ryan will walk us through the plight of Australia's wild, yet exploited dromedary camels and their suffering for the Australian camel dairy industry.

Justine Emerson is the Coordinator of EDO's National Intake Program. Justine is a Senior Solicitor and has worked at the EDO for over 7 years. Prior to joining the EDO, Justine advised State and local Government on public liability and professional indemnity claims.

Justine will speak about the tireless work done by the Environmental Defenders Office and those who need legal assistance for their fights for the environment.

Emma HΓ₯kansson is the Founder and Director of Collective Fashion Justice, and an award winning author and filmmaker.

Through her charity CFJ, Emma has helped New York, London, Copenhagen and other Fashion Weeks ban fur, as well as wild animal skins and feathers. She has consulted with major brands to reduce their reliance on animal-derived materials, been featured on Vogue Polska's September 'Leader' edition, with an editorial exploring her understanding of speciesism. Her words, research, work feature across BoF, BBC, The Guardian, WSJ and more. Her latest short film, SHIRINGA, has won numerous awards while her book Total Ethics Fashion was one of the Financial Times' best style books of 2023, and Kering's Chief Sustainability Officer recommended her book Sub-Human: A 21st Century Ethic on Animals, Collective Liberation and Us All, "for its critical thinking and solutions for much-needed change".
